Posterous: Imitation is the sincerest form of infuriation
Good lord, we've launched a week and people are already trying to copy our site, feature-for-feature. Amazing... and infuriating.

Was thinking about it, but that bid site doesn't allow enough 0's in the bid box. ;-)
These gigs doesnt amount to much, without the same love posterous' been given. The end result of these low pay flat price outsourced gigs = craptastic results at best.
I'm loving your post titles.
Or this one and "Vista does one thing fiercely: Sucking," anyway. ^_~
see comment No. 7 by Chris and explain this to me, please
You know, after a night of much needed sleep, I don't feel so bad about things. There will always be competitors that spring up. But as long as we continue to get better every single day, soon it will be too hard for them to catch up.
Exactly! That is what we wanna hear. We all want competiton instead of socialism and we love you for this attitude! Count yourself lucky, it´s a distinction.
by the way: How many 0´s do you think you need? According to chris not that many ;-)
Nobody really needs many, but everybody wants as many as they can get.
there we are: and this is the real problem of the society today. But nothing to discuss it here I am in complete agreement with you.
That's just crazy, but keep it up guys and you'll be at the top soon! Just don't sell out to Google or Yahoo j/k.
As you suggest... in this day of ideas being replicable within days... the only truly defensible competitive advantage is constant innovation.
Great branding also helps separate you from the also-rans... and you guys have done a brilliant job on that front as well.
Keep it up.
Nam, I don't know what little people you're talking about, but I'll remember the big people who played a part in mentoring me. Thanks Nam.
Yes, we're all websites. Yes we let you share things.
The point of this post was that it is something else entirely to put on a contract coder website a project to wholesale steal UI and ideas.
That being said, as Steve Jobs is often quoted: Good artists copy. Great artists steal.
would love to talk.
