I saw this video and it was just too awesome. This is starting to become one of my favorite songs ever... I love how pre-MTV nobody really subjected themselves to music videos, so the ones we see now are really just cobbling together of various film clips. Because their videos are so different, its almost like pre-MTV bands are mythologized... like how truly old texts are written on scrolls. The medium is truly the message.Hat tip to TexasDave
I'm not sure how exactly this happened... but I have become a huge fan of classic rock. Guitar Hero may have had something to do with this. But there's also a realization that the music I loved growing up -- alt rock of the early 90's like Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, etc really owe in large part their style and heritage to the rock greats.
Pink Floyd. Led Zep. Clapton. Hendrix.
Enjoy. Time, and Money. The two things in the world of which we could all use more.
This video has dancing sharks and tigers and turtles. Man, I love Jurassic 5.
Standing on a hill in my mountain of dreams,
Telling myself its not as hard, hard, hard as it seems.
This postmodern deconstructed sound of Radiohead's Nude off of their latest album In Rainbows is performed by the following decrepit and sorrow-filled (I am inferring) machines:
- Sinclair ZX Spectrum Analyzer - Guitars (rhythm & lead)
- Epson LX-81 Dot Matrix Printer - Drums
- HP Scanjet 3c - Bass Guitar
- Hard Drive array - Act as a collection of bad speakers - Vocals & FX

Even more awesome in HD...
"I am in the twilight of my youth, not that I'm going to remember..."
Told you it was whiny. Kind of reminds me of Morrissey, though, like in a good way. (Hm... what other ways could there be?)
Inspired by fdneal's recent post of Pearl Jam misheard lyrics, I wanted to rob literally dozens of people of valuable minutes of their lives by posting a few of my favorites:
