(Led Zeppelin rocks)^infinity

I saw this video and it was just too awesome. This is starting to become one of my favorite songs ever... I love how pre-MTV nobody really subjected themselves to music videos, so the ones we see now are really just cobbling together of various film clips. Because their videos are so different, its almost like pre-MTV bands are mythologized... like how truly old texts are written on scrolls. The medium is truly the message.

Pink Floyd is so badass

I'm not sure how exactly this happened... but I have become a huge fan of classic rock. Guitar Hero may have had something to do with this. But there's also a realization that the music I loved growing up -- alt rock of the early 90's like Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, etc really owe in large part their style and heritage to the rock greats.

Pink Floyd. Led Zep. Clapton. Hendrix.

Enjoy. Time, and Money. The two things in the world of which we could all use more.

Radiohead's "Nude" as played by obsolete machinery

This postmodern deconstructed sound of Radiohead's Nude off of their latest album In Rainbows is performed by the following decrepit and sorrow-filled (I am inferring) machines:

  • Sinclair ZX Spectrum Analyzer - Guitars (rhythm & lead)
  • Epson LX-81 Dot Matrix Printer - Drums
  • HP Scanjet 3c - Bass Guitar
  • Hard Drive array - Act as a collection of bad speakers - Vocals & FX

Even more awesome in HD...
