Nikhil's 27th

The housemates and I went down to Washington Square in Boston to grab drinks and dinner at Publick House, a cool Belgian bar in the area. We were celebrating Nikhil's 27th, and then we went home to have cake and more beer. Good times!

Liberalism FTW

The counterrevolution is over. For 40 years the radical right has sought to uproot and overturn the American domestic and global order created by centrist liberals of both parties between the 1930s and the 1970s. Liberalism has survived, while the right is not only defeated but also demoralized, dispersed and diminishing.

"Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things. Among them are H. L. Hunt (you possibly know his background), a few other Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or business man from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid." --Dwight D. Eisenhower

Chillin at the Paramount

Before Steph left to go back to the Bay, we got together for a nice dinner at Paramount, a great seafood restaurant in Beacon Hill in Boston, just off the Charles MGH station. Had some fun hanging out in the back near the kitchen and snapping away.
